Ziggy is a forward going, confident mare. She doesn’t need to be urged on and crosses typical trail terrain very well. She’s short at 14.2 hands but solidly built. Ziggy is extremely well bred too. We highly recommend her for a confident beginner or better rider.

Ziggy could be mounted in the pasture, standing very well BEFORE we began to break her out. Ziggy loves people.

Cardinal's Blue Sunrise 600
Ziggy at Rushmore

I rode Ziggy for a week at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota. I am a beginner rider and I felt extremely confident the entire week. Ziggy has a very smooth gait and held a 6-7 mph running walk without any problems. We did as many as 20 water crossings in a day. Ziggy broke brush, spooked up lots of deer and some wild burros and was easily controlled, even by a beginner like myself. Ziggy likes to lead, but will follow without problems. She will leave or join groups. Just tell her what you want and see does it.

Ziggy made the 1,000 mile each way trip in the trailer like an old pro. She loaded easily and stood quietly.
